Summary of 2019 at TAILORS Group
In February 2019, DataWalk was listed on the main floor of the WSE. This was one of two IPOs last year and one of the few IPOs last year. We supported the company in developing and implementing the communication policy related to the IPO and the transfer of the listing from NewConnect to the WSE. Investors appreciated the company; at the end of 2019, its share price was PLN 54.8, an increase of nearly 150% compared to the issue price. This was one of the most spectacular successes of 2019 on the WSE.
As part of our investor relations activities for more than a dozen clients, in 2019 we organised dozens of results conferences, numerous meetings with journalists and supported companies at numerous industry conferences and roadshows.
Building an organisation’s credibility through the use of expert knowledge in the media positively impacts its visibility and often supports sales. In 2019, we agreed with our client, Brysiewicz and Wspólnicy Law Firm, that commenting on current business issues in a legal context by the firm’s staff would be one of the priorities. We ended the year with success, with practice leaders commenting on leading national media outlets more than 160 times.
Communication carried out in several markets in parallel is a necessity for companies that conquer abroad with their products and services. The challenge is to run it from Poland. As part of the Zortrax service in 2019, we cooperated with media and influencers in the key countries from the company’s perspective by keeping them informed about changes in the offer, sharing inspiring case studies and providing products for testing. In the case of Enter Air, one of Poland’s largest exporters, we took care of the company’s presence in key global industry media.
The year 2019 also saw commentaries, interviews and videos arranged by us for TVN, Rzeczpospolita or Parkiet, among others. Representatives of Enter Air, ML System or Brysiewicz i Wspólnicy Law Firm appeared in front of the cameras.
In November, we celebrated the successes of ‘The Best Annual Report’ competition with our clients. The realisations in the preparation of which the TAILORS Group / Go Responsible team participated won awards in almost all key categories. The PGNiG Annual Report was awarded the First Grand Prize in the ‘enterprise’ group and the distinction for the best marketing report. The second Grand Prize and a special award for online reporting went to PGE. Special awards for the best integrated reports went to TAURON and PGE. The ‘The Best of The Best’ awards went to, among others, the companies: ING Bank Śląski, mBank, PKO Bank Polski and the TAURON Group.
A few days later, the results of the Social Reports competition were announced. As many as two projects in which our team was involved were recognised. The main award went to the Responsible Business Report of Santander Bank Polska. An honourable mention in the Social Report category went to Kompania Piwowarska’s Sustainable Development Report. This was not our last word on social reports in 2019 – a publication summarising the activities of the Polpharma Group was made available in December.
Other clients who benefited from our assistance in the creation of annual reports include Bank Millennium, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, Lafarge Polska, Orbis and the Pekabex Group.
December saw the end of the first call for the ‘My Electricity’ programme. Part of the solar revolution on the Polish RES market is ML System, which we support in the area of prosumer photovoltaics promotion. Last year we prepared a dedicated landing page for the client: https://mojprad.mlsystem.pl/, where you can find basic information about the offer and the possibilities of benefiting from a subsidy for a solar installation, as well as an animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0M7-Si8aB. Additionally, we prepared and supervise an advertising campaign focusing on Google and Facebook. An important supporting element is media relations, which we will also continue this year.
At the beginning of December, we initiated another series of meetings with companies promoted under the name Business Brunch. We discussed the launch of the new WIG-ESG stock exchange index with representatives of the largest Polish listed companies. Dr Tomasz Karol Wiśniewski, deputy director in the WSE’s Information Products and Indices Development Department, and Dr Robert Sroka, director of responsible investment for Central and Eastern Europe at Abris Capital Partners, also gave speeches during the event. The issues raised will be further developed during a training session scheduled for the second half of January. A Business Brunch on the Uniform Reporting Format (ESEF) is planned for late February/early March.
At the end of 2019. Enter Air, which we support in IR and PR communications, received an award in the Stock Exchange Company of the Year 2019 category from Forbes Poland magazine, which was presented to the company during the 4th Polish Capital Congress.
